Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) and the Friends of the Secrest Arboretum continue its second season of Music at the Arboretum on Friday, July 29, 2022, with members of The Ohio Trombone Consortium. In this performance, the ensemble will showcase the rich tradition of the trombone choir by presenting historical works written and arranged for trombone, while also presenting the breadth of modern works for the ensemble, thus highlighting the versatility of this brass instrument. Members performing in this concert include Lucas Borges, Gretchen McNamara, David Mitchell, Elisabeth Shafer, Austin Seybert, Sterling Tanner and Anthony Weikel.

In the event of rain, the concert will be held at Fisher Auditorium, 1680 Madison Avenue, Wooster, OH 44691. For more information call 419-853-6016.

The Ohio Trombone Consortium is a chamber ensemble comprised of trombone professors from across the state of Ohio and neighboring regions, including Ohio State University, Capital University, Kent State University, The University of Akron, Wright State University, West Virginia State University and Ohio University. Chosen to perform at the International Trombone Festival in Tokyo, Japan, the Ohio Trombone Consortium members are passionate educators and performers dedicated to bringing the beauty of the trombone sound to communities around the world.
