About Our Alternative Education Programs

As local school districts continue to cut funding for the arts, ORMACO offers new outlets for students to continue with their music, art and other cultural pursuits. These could comprise lessons, alternative ensembles, student art shows, concerts, theatre productions and more.

Currently, ORMACO is working with the Medina County Police Activities League to present afterschool enrichment programs. ORMACO also services Garfield Elementary and Claggett Middle School in Medina with a songwriting program for at-risk youth.

“This organization has had a tremendous impact on our youth and our community as a whole. We are grateful for their continuous efforts in providing music, arts and culture to all walks of life.”

Mayor Dennis Hanwell, Medina

“In today’s age when school funding for the arts has been drastically slashed, Northwest Local Schools and the
Canal Fulton community are grateful for the emergence of ORMACO.”
