Ricardo Morales Vivero and Grace Blackford: An Afternoon of Hispanic Music

Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) and the Medina County District Library present Ecuadorian guitarist Ricardo Morales Vivero and vocalist Grace Blackford in a program of Hispanic music on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 6:30 pm-7:30 pm at the Medina County District Library, 210 South Broadway Street, Medina, OH 44256. Ricardo will perform a solo guitar set of Hispanic music, which will showcase his background in jazz through a varied repertoire including classic boleros, Latin American rock and originals. He will also accompany Grace as she croons lyrical and emotive tunes that focus on nostalgia, homesickness, grief and longing.

About the Musicians
Ecuadorian guitarist and composer Ricardo Morales Vivero recently relocated to Cleveland from Chicago. Born in Quito, Ecuador, Ricardo studied jazz guitar at the Franz Liszt Conservatory in Quito and received his B.A. in Jazz Studies from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. A musician with an eclectic background, Ricardo brings together a variety of musical traditions to deliver a sound that feels fresh but familiar to listeners from all over the world. He released his first record “Introspectiva” in August 2023.
Intuitive songstress Grace Blackford is well-versed in jazz. The singer-songwriter allows her knowledge of the genre to organically influence her compositions while incorporating elements of R&B and pop. The result is soulful, meaningful music laced with complex feeling and vulnerability. Grace’s debut album, ‘Inside My Head,’ is available on all streaming platforms.
