Pitch Blend: Barbershop Quartet

Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) continues its free Sunday Concerts in the Country with Akron-based Pitch Blend on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at 2 pm. The quartet sings traditional, doo-wop and more modern arrangements of popular tunes. All four men are members of the Akron Derbytown Chorus and are registered with the Barbershop Harmony Society. Together they have over 100 years of experience singing Barbershop harmony.

The program will take place at HeARTland, 8187 Camp Road Homerville, Ohio, 44235. In the event of rain, the concert will take place at the Homerville United Methodist Church, 8964 Spencer Road, Homerville, Ohio, 44235. For more information call 419-853-6016.

Bass Luke Frohnapel from Akron is a retired milk inspector and has been singing Barbershop harmony for more than forty years.

Baritone Bob Gest from Medina is a retired truck driver and skins with the Akron Derbytown Chorus.
