Jazz under the Stars: IndiGo Jazz Ensemble

Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) continues its summer Jazz under the Stars concert series with Cleveland-based vocalist SaVon Bass and her jazz band IndiGo on July 9, 2022, at 7 pm. The ensemble will present an exciting selection of popular vocal and instrumental swing, Latin, jazz standards.

Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and picnics to enjoy this free concert. In the event of rain, the concert will be held at The United Church of Christ, 217 East Liberty Street, Medina, OH 44256. For more information, call 419-853-6016.

About SaVon Bass (Vocalist)

A native of Cleveland and raised in Elyria, SaVon, began singing in “The Bethany Baptist Church” at the age of seven. SaVon has won titles such as “Miss Cleveland” and “Miss Black International” beauty pageants. She has performed in many theatrical productions such as “Working”, “The Louis Armstrong Story”, and “Generations”, directed by the late, Ms. Ruby Dee, and many more. She has appeared in films such as “Sanford and Son”, “Proximity”, and most recently, “Draft Day”. SaVon has performed with such celebrities as Dennis Edwards of “The Temptations”, Howard Hewitt, and recently performed at “The South Point Casino in Las Vegas”, and recently finished a tour, in Phoenix, Arizona, with the “Magic of Motown Show”.

SaVon, has launched a new and exciting tribute to the era of the 60s and 70s music, with a special tribute to the Friends of Distinction and Fifth Dimension vocal groups. In 2021, she co-hosted the Second Annual R&B Hall of Fame Inductees Ceremonies, held in Canton, Ohio, featuring many wonderful nominees, such as Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, The Whispers, and many others.
