Idle Twittering: A Flock of Flutes
Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) and the Wadsworth Public Library continue Live at the Library with Idle Twittering: A Flock of Flutes on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 2 pm at the Wadsworth Public Library, 132 Broad Street, Wadsworth, OH 44281.
French Flutist Louis Fleury (1878–1926) referred to music of the 19th century as “idle twittering.” What’s the antidote? A flock of flutes from Northeastern Ohio joins forces for a tuneful and tootful performance on flutes of all shapes and sizes with Jane Berkner, George Pope, Kyra Kester, and Linda White.
The combined resumes of these flutists include performing with the Cleveland, Detroit, Akron, Canton, and Blue Water Orchestras. The quartet has performed for Cain Park, Heights Arts, Urban Troubadour and other regional venues, and they have also been invited to perform for both the National Flute Association and the International Low Flute Festival.
This program is free. Seating is on a first come, first served basis. For more information, call 419-853-6016.
