Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) and the Wadsworth Public Library continue Live at the Library with Debbie Darling on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at 2 pm at the Wadsworth Public Library, 132 Broad Street, Wadsworth, OH 44281.
Debbie Darling will guide you on a journey to the most successful independent record company in history, and through its history and music introduce you to the “Magic” that became Motown. The legendary Motown label made its mark not just on the music industry, it also forged new territory for minorities and became a worldwide phenomenon and a force of social and cultural change. The Motown sound is one of the most significant musical accomplishments and success stories of the 20th century.

About the Musicians
Debbie Darling is a singer/songwriter who’s performed a wide range of musical styles from opera to jazz to blues and everything in between. She’s provided her vocal talents for small bands, large orchestras and commercial voice overs. She’s a motivational speaker, international best-selling author and trainer by profession. She’s the president of “The Presentation Pros” a soft-skills training company teaching all aspects of presenting. She was the national spokesperson for Catherines Plus Sizes and has been on numerous radio and television shows including Hard Copy, The Richard Simmons Show and the Oprah Winfrey Show. She’s sung with Stanley Turrentine, The Peter Duchin Band, The Tommy Dorsey Band, and a top Cleveland Dance band—Night Coach. She performs with a variety of talented musicians and can create everything from a single act, to a duo to a five piece band.
