Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) and the Friends of the Secrest Arboretum continue their summer Music at the Arboretum concert series on Friday, August 14, 2026 with 3 Birds and The Wire.

The “3 Birds” are Dianne Palmer, Cindy Smith, and Debra Rose. Their voices blend perfectly, providing an exciting show with broad appeal. Helping the ladies soar to new heights of harmony is “The Wire” – Music Director/Arranger Mike Elkins on keyboard, Lovest Watson III on bass, Sonny Neal on drums, and Robert Hoffman on reeds.

The program is free. In the event of rain, the concert will be held inside the Welcome Center. For more information call 419-853-6016.

About the Musicians

Dianne Palmer is a critically-acclaimed vocalist whose live stage performances explore a diverse range of musical compositions, from the 1930s through present day.  She has performed as featured vocalist with many prominent Cleveland big bands and small groups, and in New York, Los Angeles and on several cruise ship lines. When she’s not on stage singing, Dianne is busy working as a nationally and internationally-known voice over talent for radio and TV commercials, narrations for audiobooks, anime, characters for numerous video games, hosted Wizard World’s Cleveland ComicCon, virtual runway announcer for Gucci’s Ready-to Wear event in Italy, announcer for The Football Hall of Fame in Canton, and many more.  Dianne lives in Beachwood with her husband, Robert.

Cindy Smith is a versatile and dynamic vocalist and entertainer who has captivated audiences with her powerful voice, energetic performances, and infectious charm. With a broad repertoire spanning genres of jazz, musical theatre, swing and pop, Cindy has wowed crowds at venues and events throughout Northeast Ohio and has been singing regularly with local Big Bands, including Don Kubec’s Big Band, Swing Era Big Band, Strongsville Jazz, and Swing City Big Band. She is also a member of the newly formed harmony trio, 3 Birds and The Wire. Her impressive range, precise control, and emotional delivery have earned her critical acclaim and a loyal fan base. Whether belting out a hit song or crooning a soulful ballad, Cindy is a true showstopper, leaving a lasting impression on all who experience her talent and passion.

Debra Rose is an accomplished singer, actress, speaker and writer. She holds bachelor’s degrees in both Music Performance, and Multimedia and Visual Communication.  She has toured with various bands, spent several seasons singing with Cleveland Opera Chorus, and portrayed many non-traditionally Black roles including Mother Abbess in “The Sound of Music” and Miss Hannigan in “Annie” in community theater productions.  She is a costume designer, poet and has published several volumes of coloring books.  She currently resides in Oberlin, Ohio and has a cottage baking business specializing in cookies and cakes and teaches cookie decorating.
