Kentucky Bourbon Trail/Bardstown Ghost Trek

Friday, July 14, 2023 6:00 am – Saturday, July 15th 6:30 pm

Join Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) as we hop on board a private charter bus for two fun-filled days on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail from July 14-15, 2023. The busy itinerary is as follows:

Friday, July 14, 2023

Depart from Buehler’s River Styx in Medina, Ohio at 6:00 am. Once on the bus, enjoy muffins and mimosas to start the day. Sit back and enjoy the scenery as we make our way south to Bardstown, Kentucky. Just before reaching the first stop, tuck into a box lunch (wrap, pasta salad, fruit salad, chips and pickle). In the heart of historic Bardstown, experience a tour and tasting at two of the finest distilleries, Heaven Hill Family Distillery and Preservation Distillery. Following the tours, we will check in to the Hampton Inn (double occupancy) for a late afternoon rest.

Enjoy dinner on your own and then board the bus at 7:30 pm to head over to the Talbott Tavern as we go on the Bardstown Ghost Trek. Hear real stories involving true experiences of people witnessing ghostly activity that is currently happening in the locations on the trek. Stops include the Jailer’s Inn and Pioneer Cemetery. Return to the hotel after the trek.

Saturday, July 15, 2023

Upon arising, take advantage of the hot breakfast (included) provided by the Hampton Inn. Depart at 9:30 am for the Oscar Goetz Whiskey Museum. After the one-hour visit, reboard the bus and head north where we will stop in Newport, Kentucky, along the Ohio River for lunch at Hooters. Select one of the following for lunch (Burger or chicken breast on a brioche bun with curly fries, buffalo chicken salad, chicken garden salad or chicken Caesar salad).

After lunch, relax on the bus and enjoy wine, chocolates and homemade cookies. Return to Buehler’s River Styx around 6:30 pm.
