Songs from the Hole

Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) joins forces with the Cleveland International Film Festival as a community partner with the film Songs from the Hole. James “JJ’88” Jacobs was only 15 when he shot a man, but he still received a double-life sentence. Much of that time has been spent in solitary confinement. Now in his 30s, JJ’88 has constructed a hip-hop visual album, a stunning treatise on growth, discrimination, and a path toward redemption. Winner of the Visions Audience Award at the 2024 SXSW Film Festival, the film will be shown at the Ohio Theatre at Playhouse Square, 1501 Euclid Ave. Cleveland, OH, on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 4:50 pm and Sunday, March 30, 2025, at 9:25 pm.

Tickets are available online at www.clevelandfilm.org or by phone 844-304-FILM or in person at the Film Festival Box Office, 2510 Market Ave. Cleveland, OH from 10 am to 6 pm. Use ORMACO as a discount code for this film and any other films and receive $1 off each ticket.
