Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums with lunch at Ørchard on Catawba Island

Hop on the bus at 8:15 am on Saturday, August 8, 2026, as ORMACO heads to the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums in Fremont, Ohio. Start the trip with muffins and mimosas, then relax and enjoy the 90 minute ride.

Upon arrival, a docent will lead us in a guided tour of The Rutherford B. Hayes Home, a 31-room mansion and centerpiece of the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums. Then you’ll tour the museums at your own pace and enjoy the grounds, where a mile of paved trails wind through a beautiful garden arboretum.

Following the tours, we’ll head to Catawba Island for a seasonal lunch with a glass of wine at Ørchard. After lunch we’ll wander the vineyard grounds and visit the farm stand where the retail shop and farm market feature seasonal produce and an assortment of Ørchard items, such as jams and jellies, coffee, maple syrup, hyper-local Henny B honey and more.

We’ll have a wine and cheese party with chocolates on the bus trip back, arriving  at Buehler’s River Styx around 4:45 pm. Seating is limited to 50 passengers, so book early to avoid disappointment. Book online here or call 419-853-6016.
