Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) and the Medina County District Library present Theron Brown on Wednesday, December 9, 2026 from 6:30 pm-7:30 pm at the Medina County District Library, 210 South Broadway Street, Medina, OH 44256.

Theron Brown is an accomplished jazz pianist who has toured nationally and internationally. He is an Assistant Professor at the University of Akron and founder of the Rubber City Jazz & Blues Festival. Theron will be performing a mix of blues, gospel, and soul tunes mixed with holiday fare.

The program is free. Seating is on a first come, first served basis.

About the Musicians

Theron Brown is a pianist, composer, educator, and community builder based in Akron, Ohio. He is known for his versatility as a performing musician, his commitment to arts education, and his ability to connect people through music. Theron teaches jazz piano at the University of Akron, mentoring students not only in technique and musicianship, but also in professional development and real-world performance skills.

In addition to teaching, Theron is an active recording and performing artist, with projects ranging from jazz and contemporary music to interdisciplinary works for stage and dance. He is the founder of a growing music business and continues to explore innovative ways to merge technology, entrepreneurship, and creative expression while making a meaningful impact on his family, students, and broader community.
