Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) and the Friends of the Secrest Arboretum continue their summer Music at the Arboretum concert series on Friday, July 24, 2026 with the Freedom Brass Band.

A group of both professional and amateur musicians, the Freedom Brass Band performs the very best in brass music from the classics, opera, show tunes, marches, popular tunes and big band music. Directed by Tucker Jolly, their concerts are always entertaining.

The program is free. In the event of rain, the concert will be held inside the Welcome Center. For more information call 419-853-6016.

About the Musicians

The Freedom Brass Band™ of Northeast Ohio has performed regularly since 2003. They are a non-profit organization of musicians who enjoy playing a few concerts through the year. Located in the Cleveland/Akron/ Canton area, they are a group of both professional and amateur musicians who perform the very best in brass music from the classics, opera, show tunes, marches, popular tunes and big band music.  Concerts are always entertaining and attract a wide variety of concert-goers.

Tucker Jolly is the Director of the Freedom Brass Band. He is Erofessor Emeritus of Tuba and Euphonium at The University of Akron, and holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of North Texas and a Master of Arts in Music Performance from the University of Connecticut. Mr. Jolly has been principal tubist for the Fort Worth Symphony, United States Coast Guard Band, the New Haven Symphony, the Ohio Chamber Orchestra, and played tuba in many other music groups. He is most well known locally his work in coordinating and conducting the Akron Tuba Christmas holiday concert every year.
