Alla Boara: Italian Folk Songs

Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) and the Friends of the Secrest Arboretum open their summer Music at the Arboretum concert series on Friday, May 31, 2023, with Cleveland-based Alla Boara. The ensemble reimagines Italian folk songs by adding elements of modern jazz and world music. Showcasing works from their debut album, “Le Tre Sorelle,” and newest live recorded album, Amanda Powell, Anthony Taddeo, and Dan Bruce connect audiences through storytelling. Alla Boara’s immersive shows provide audiences with a deeper perspective on historical traditions and showcase the common humanity in us all. Each performance is unique, with music that will connect to every listener.

About the Musicians 

Anthony Taddeo is a percussionist and composer currently residing in Cleveland, Ohio. He has studied with world renowned percussionists such as Jamey Haddad, Kendrick Scott and Jimmy Cobb. Anthony has a bachelor’s degree in music performance from The School for Jazz at The Newschool in NYC and a master’s in composition from Youngstown State University. Anthony has toured North America and Europe extensively and his versatility as a musician has led him to be featured on over 30 albums with a diverse array of musicians and genres.
