Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) continues its summer concert series with Northeast Ohio’s very own Scottish jazz vocalist, Carol Leslie on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 7 pm. This concert will span the broad spectrum of jazz, and will showcase some blues, R&B, gospel and contemporary music.
Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and picnics to enjoy this free concert. In the event of rain, the concert will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 317 East Liberty Street, Medina, OH 44256. For more information, call 419-853-6016.
About Carol Leslie
Hailing from Edinburgh, Scotland, Carol Leslie embraces the music of Billie Holiday, Carmen McCrae, Sarah Vaughan, Cleo Laine, Bonnie Raitt, Amy Winehouse, Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand, to name but a few. Prior to arriving in the USA, Carol auditioned for Independent Television’s “Rising Stars”. She made the final cut out of 2,500 musicians. She also appeared on BBC Radio’s “Debut”, which also was broadcast throughout Europe and the UK.
Carol delivers torch songs that reach the heart. She appears regularly in jazz clubs in Northeast Ohio, at country clubs, black tie events, intimate house parties and fine dining establishments.
