Wednesday, March 31st and April 2nd through April 9th 2023

Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) joins forces with the Cleveland International Film Festival as a community partner with the extraordinary film, Cowboy Poets. Each year since 1985 cowboys and cowgirls share their poetry, poems, songs and testimonials about a way of life that is slowly disappearing. The film follows the journey and beyond to paint a different portrait of the American cowboy. With candid, emotionally resonant testimonials set against breath-taking images of the wide open spaces cowboys call home, the film expands the traditional vision of the American cowboy to spotlight women and indigenous voices- and to highlight their growing concerns over the state of the climate crisis.

The film will be shown at Mimi Ohio Theatre at Playhouse Square, 1501 Euclid Ave. Cleveland, OH at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29. It is also available for streaming access from April 2 through April 9. Tickets are available online at www.clevelandfilm.org or by phone at 844-304-FILM or in person at the Film Festival Box Office, 2510 Market Ave. Cleveland, OH from March 6-19 10 am to 6 pm.
