Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) presents flutist Janet Becker at the Wadsworth Public Library, 132 Broad Street, Wadsworth, as she presents a program entitled 18th Century Hits You Have Never Heard. When we think of 18th century music here in the 21st century we think mostly of the great composers of the day, at least the great composers that we think were the greatest. In this case Bach, Handel, Vivaldi. What we forget is that the people of the 18th century had a completely different viewpoint on what was popular and best. In this concert/workshop Dr.Becker will share some of the works that actually were some of the most popular of the time, and show how flutists of the time took advantage of these works. Enjoy music by Marais, Couperin, Granom, Petzold, Rousseau and more.

The concert is free, but reservations are recommended to ensure seating. Call 330-722-2541.
